Evaluations regarding recording accuracy
When using Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) data, accident analysts also need to address the issues of the accuracy of the recorded parameters and of tolerances. As there is only limited knowledge available regarding this problem in the European region,
it continues to be necessary to install reference measuring devices for collision
tests with CDR vehicles to ensure that the CDR data can be directly compared with independently measured parameters. This report describes the execution and results of such a comparison.
