Jahre der Sensibilisierung für Ablenkung haben das Gefahrenbewusstsein der Bevölkerung geschärft. Die Notwendigkeit zu sicherem Geräteumgang beim Autofahren wird sehr wohl gesehen. Aber Einstellung ist noch nicht Verhalten. Erleben wir im Handy und Infotainment am Steuer ein Gewohnheitsrecht? Denn mehr und mehr drängen sich Smartphone-App und Bordcomputer als Wächter zwischen uns und die Außenwelt – und lassen die Ablenkungshäufigkeit steigen.

Update distraction and modern comfort technology
Years of distraction awareness have heightened the public’s danger consciousness. The need for safe device use while driving is well understood. But attitude is not yet behaviour. Are we becoming accustomed to mobile phones and infotainment at the wheel? Because more and more, smartphone apps and on-board computers are acting as guardians between us and the outside world - and are increasing the frequency of distractions.
