Die sichersten Lkw der Welt zu bauen, das hat sich Daimler Trucks auf die Fahne geschrieben. Aktuelle Beispiele dafür sind der Notbremsassistent „Active Brake Assist 3“ sowie der Abbiegeassistent, der laut Daimler in absehbarer Zeit in Serie gehen soll. Alle Assistenz- und Sicherheitssysteme haben einen gemeinsamen Nenner: Sie können Leben retten.
Daimler Trucks has set itself the objective of manufacturing
the safest trucks in the world. Examples of its most recent measures are the
emergency braking assistant Active Brake Assist 3 and the blind spot monitoring
system, which according to Daimler will go into volume production in the foreseeable
future. All the assistance and safety systems have one thing in common: they
help to save lives.
