Innovative Fahrzeugstruktur in Spant- und Space-Frame-Bauweise

Im Rahmen des Forschungsthemas "Neuartige Fahrzeugstrukturen" des DLR wird in Stuttgart an der Entwicklung zukünftiger Fahrzeugkonzepte und -strukturen geforscht. Das in diesem Beitrag beschriebene Projekt beschäftigt sich mit der Entwicklung einer innovativen Spant- und Space-Frame-Bauweise. Dabei werden wegweisende Verbesserungen hinsichtlich einer Gewichtsreduzierung, einer gesteigerten Sicherheit und innovativen Modularisierungsstrategien erzielt.

The DLR in Stuttgart (Germany) is currently pursuing research under the title of “Novel Vehicle Structures” with the aim of developing concepts and structures for the vehicles of the future. The project described in this paper is concerned with the development of an innovative “rib and space frame construction method”. The focus of this work is to achieve groundbreaking improvements in areas such as weight reduction, safety and modularisation strategies.
